I saw these once at a quilt shop but didn't realize what they were until I saw them at a fund raiser where I work. I made the pattern myself based on the width of a fat quarter (about 16.5 inches to give me room for pinking).
I just played with the folding until I got the look I wanted. I pressed them and sewed in the creases.Here is one with embellishments...... .....and a close-up.
